I was on the West Coast during this.. Visited both Al Shockley and Tom Lange on this trip! Both of which are using gongs, bowls, and didjeridus..

Fri, August 7, 2009 - 8:13 PMIt was awesome.....folks came thru in waves and late in the day we played some didj with the gongs...amazing how well they work together. I know Tom & Al have been gonging for some time. How they doin?
We (Sylvia the gong lady) and us are thinking of doing something similar later in the year if we can find a large indoor resonant space...maybe a cathedral? -

BTW, our band Bamboche is going to play outside of Rawlinsville at a benefit on August 23rd.. A couple of bluegrass bands will be there, and some really eclectic stuff as well..
I'll post some of that soon.
Also, Tom did a short gong and bowl session with me laying down and it was really nice!
I've sort of regained some old enthusiasm and appreciation for these sounds you guys are making.. };-D
